We’re looking for a Brand Content and Public Relations Leader to manage corporate messaging and produce data-driven brand journalism while supporting media relations, issues management and speaking engagements. This content pro will deepen the storytelling approach for a Fortune 500 company that has amazing stories to share, from innovation to sustainability.
The ideal candidate has a reporter’s mindset, a gift for writing and a marketer’s toolbox, with a proven history of producing stories that drive external pick-up. Storytelling is a new focus area for our emerging Communications function, so there’s a wide ocean of opportunities for impact and growth. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Communications, this seasoned individual contributor will partner closely with spokespeople and subject matter experts and deliver projects autonomously with the goal of protecting and promoting our brand reputation.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
You will spend most of your time ideating content that resonates with our core audiences: media/influencers, investors, customers, communities and employees. That means keeping a close pulse on our business initiatives as well as external news and industry trends. You’ll thrive at that intersection between our business and the outside world to make relevant, real-time content that people want to read and share.
Since you love to create, you’ll bring our brand stories to life in a variety of ways. Today it might be an incisive Newsroom article or an executive’s social media blog; tomorrow a compelling media pitch, event abstract, video script or speech. Whatever the medium, you’ll get a kick out of authoring content designed to drive high performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning: Build and manage an editorial calendar with compelling corporate stories, serving as a key “reporter” for the enterprise. Align with Investor Relations, Marketing, Innovation, Sustainability, and Government Affairs to coordinate themes/timing that advance broader brand goals. Content Production: Research and write content features for the company’s website Newsroom and Investor Relations portal, social media and intranet. Oversee creative partners producing video and infographic storytelling. Provide copywriting and editing for videos, ads, speeches and presentations. Public Relations Management: Support VP in media relations, issues management, community affairs and serve as key liaison to International division overseeing press releases and high-profile external communications to ensure global consistency. Promotion & Performance: Publish/promote content across platforms and measure the performance of content and engagements for continuous improvement. Communications Governance: Oversee the creation of communications guidelines, fact sheets, messaging documents, playbooks and related corporate artefacts to drive consistent, accurate messaging. Overall Support: As a key player on an agile team, support projects as needed to continue evolving the Communications function and our global brand.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, business or a related field. 7-10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a global, publicly traded corporation or agency environment. Prior experience as a journalist a big plus. History of creating PR content that garners increased traffic/engagement, earned media coverage, speaking engagements and brand visibility is preferred. PORTFOLIO REQUIRED. Broad knowledge of public relations disciplines, reputation management and SEO is a must. Fluency with industry tools such as media monitoring, newswires and social listening, with experience creating reporting and extracting insights. Pay Range: $95,325.00 - $127,100.00
