Key Performance Indicators
Operations
Prepare branch performance reports and recommendations for the MD. Develop policies and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and fleet standards. Ensure adherence to Health & Safety legislation, including documented toolbox talks. Oversee day-to-day branch activities, ensuring smooth operations and resource utilisation. Ensure fleet maintenance within service agreements and legal requirements. Compile and submit management reports. Coordinate transport and scheduling for efficient product flow. Manage freight accounts and ensure accuracy before MD authorisation. Finance
Interpret profit and loss statements, budgeting, and pricing. Review financial reports/ expenditures, providing input on pricing or expansion needs. Ensure services remain within budget. Human Resources
Manage KPIs and recruitment, training, and discipline of reporting employees. Client / Stakeholders
Ensure excellent customer service and handle client queries. Manage relationships with stakeholders as well as adherence to SLAs. Capabilities and Competencies
Computer literate (competent in MS Office). Excellent communication skills with internal and external clients. Excellent English and Afrikaans oral and written communication skills. Ability to take responsibility for actions, projects, and clients; take initiative and work under own direction. Ability to build a wide and effective network of contacts. Ability to work in a systematic, methodical, and orderly way to consistently achieve goals. Financial and business acumen. Ability to work productively while under pressure. Accepts and tackles demanding goals with enthusiasm, works hard and puts in longer hours when necessary. Requirements
Own transport and valid driver’s license Willing to work overtime and be available after business hours as well as weekends. Qualifications and Experience
Senior certificate (NQF 4) Diploma/ Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Road Transport. 5 years previous experience in a managerial or similar position. Strong marketing/ sales background. Experience in dealing with National Bargaining Council (Road Freight). *Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted*
