Branch Manager

Position Summary:
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, financial performance, and customer satisfaction at their assigned IAA facility in Australia. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role ensures the seamless processing of salvage vehicles, motorcycles, caravans, RVs, and industrial items while fostering a culture of safety, operational excellence, and team engagement.

The Branch Manager leads a team to achieve Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to asset security & processing times, safety and ESG compliance, and customer experience. This role also includes developing operational strategies, managing budgets, and contributing to business growth through continuous improvement initiatives and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management

Lead and motivate branch employees, ensuring alignment with IAA's values and objectives. Develop team capabilities through onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives. Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and support for employee growth. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence across the branch.

Operational Management

Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient asset intake, processing, storage, and sale preparation. Implement company policies, procedures, and safety standards across all branch activities. Address escalated operational challenges and customer issues, ensuring timely resolution. Coordinate with transport providers and other stakeholders to maintain seamless logistical operations.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

Drive a proactive asset presentation approach to support continual higher returns goals. Track and report on branch SLA’s/KPIs, including asset processing times, safety performance, and customer satisfaction metrics. Analyze operational performance and identify areas for improvement to achieve business objectives. Provide timely updates to the Head of Operations on branch performance, compliance, and market trends.

Customer Service Excellence

Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate service delivery. Strong onsite engagement with Insurance Assessors. Build strong relationships with sellers, buyers, transporters and key industry stakeholders. Represent IAA in customer meetings and support the resolution of complex customer issues.

Budget and Resource Management

Develop and manage the branch budget with Company management, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective operations. Monitor and control expenses to align with financial goals.

Compliance and Safety

Ensure all branch operations adhere to safety regulations, risk management protocols, and internal policies. Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that all staff are trained in safety and compliance requirements. Manage equipment maintenance schedules and operator training programs.

Business Development

Identify opportunities to enhance branch efficiency and customer service offerings. Contribute to regional growth initiatives and align branch operations with IAA Australia's strategic goals.

Catastrophe Management
