Responsibilities Assumes responsibility for attainment of financial goals as established by the Regional General Manager and approved by the Board of DirectorsSupports the corporate educational plan for facility staff and ensures follow-throughEnforces corporate directed programs, including marketing, sales, purchasing, distribution, accounting/finance, safety, education and employee servicesAssumes primary responsibility for efficient, cost-effective facility operationWorks closely on budget and sales forecasts with Regional General ManagerAssists Corporate Credit staff with collection of customer accountsApproves wage, bonus and commission schedules in line with budget and operating constraintsWork within budgetary and corporate guidelines on expenditures for capital equipment with Regional Operations Manager and Regional General ManagerManages the day-to-day activities of the facility, overseeing work accomplished by the managers and supervisors; ensures work is consistent with corporate policies and objectivesEnsures inventory management consistent with sales, cash flow and financial goalsOversee sales, delivery, distribution, pricing, accounting and customer serviceAssumes responsibility for the physical plant and maintenanceReviews financial and operating reports; monitors all departments on a daily basisServes as the principal public relations spokesperson for the facilityConducts regular staff meetingsInteracts effectively with customers, maintaining and developing customer relationshipsKeeps abreast of industry trends; attends trade shows, conventions and seminars as appropriate or as directedPerforms the duties inherent in all supervisory positionsPromotes equal opportunity and affirmative action employment practicesDirects training duties as neededOther duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Regional General Manager Qualifications College degree in related field or equivalent experience5+ years of progressive management experience with demonstrated success3+ years experience in a wholesale distribution enterprise2+ years experience with plumbing or HVAC or fluid handlingSolid computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office and ExcelERP experience requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to interact with customers effectively in person and by telephone
