Brake Press Operator

Miller Brother Staffing has the immediate need of an experienced Brake Press Operator for 2nd shift in Reading, PA.
Pay Rate – $20/hour
Shift- 2nd shift: 4pm – 12:30am **Training will be on on 1st shift M-F 7am-3:30pm for several weeks then will switch to 2nd shift hours**
3 most important things- 1.) mechanical ability 2.) ability to operate a forklift 3.) CNC/machine experience
Essential Functions/Responsibilities- Operate and maintain a Press machine in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines. Identify press program files and drawings for initial set-up and program of machine (preferred, but not required). Set-up press with correct tooling components required by job. Check first-off parts with Quality/Inspection before program runs. Maintain and clean press tooling as necessary. Maintain daily log of customers and component parts completed. Identify and deliver components to the next operation on the routing sheet. Package required components that are ready for immediate shipment to customer. Complete all required paperwork and shipping tags for all parts. Foster and promote 100% good housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe work environment. Maintain all measure equipment to ensure good working condition. Other Duties & Responsibilities: Work any and all overtime required including weekends to meet customer demands. Continuously seek and identify potential areas for improvement. Report any safety concerns in press area due to faulty tooling/machine. Operate forklift in accordance with company training and guidelines. Qualifications: Knowledge in set-up and operating press machine equipment. Basic computer skills. Blueprint reading. Willingness to complete daily tasks and functions to meet production demands. Positive attitude to support customer satisfaction and ideas. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Excellent work ethic. Self-motivation.
