Overview
Hire Resolve’s Client is seeking to hire a Bookkeeper for their team at Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires strong accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations. Process invoices, payments, and expense reports. Prepare monthly financial statements and reports. Manage accounts payable and receivable. Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash flow tracking. Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns. Support budget preparation and financial forecasting. Liaise with auditors, accountants, and other financial professionals as required. Maintain an organized filing system for financial records and documentation. Qualifications & Experience: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage). Strong knowledge of South African tax laws and compliance requirements. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently and within a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Skills: Experience in a business development or consultancy environment. Advanced Excel skills and financial reporting expertise.
