Bookkeeper (6 month contract)
Job Description

My client in the global sustainability industry, requires the assistance of a Bookkeeper. In this role you will be responsible for validating accounting records, making sure they are accurate and complete, and accounting standards are followed. This is a hybrid role - 3 days from home and 2 days in Salt River / Woodstock. This is a 6 month contract role. If you are good with numbers, effective and accurate please apply.

Responsibilities: 

Process AP invoices through inhouse workflow in finance system Prepare AP bank payments on online banking portal and process payments Process independent contractor invoices Liaise with suppliers to address and resolve queries Process AR invoices Submit new customers and invoice request forms to US accounting team to be processed in US finance system Complete Vendor set up forms for new customers, assist Customer Support Team with customer-related queries Process bank transactions and prepare bank recons Process credit card transactions and follow up on outstanding transactions with card users Process and review intercompany recharges and follow up with other entities, ensure accurate and complete processing Maintain fixed asset and intangible register, process depreciation and amortization journal entries Process recurring month end journals Prepare and submit VAT/PAYE returns

Requirements: 

Qualification - Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics Minimum of 2 years finance experience Strong Excel and data management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy High time management skills  Good with numbers, able to handle complex calculations  Effective and concise communication skills
