As the Boiler Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day maintenance functions that keep the park running smoothly. Job Summary: The Boiler Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing boilers and related systems, including monitoring fuel inventories, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining proper water chemistry. The position also requires adherence to safety protocols, accurate documentation, and collaboration with other departments while following company policies and environmental programs. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: March/April 2025 - October/November 2025 Pay: $20.75 - $22.75/Hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Yellowstone National Park? Responsibilities Responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing boilers and boiler-related systems Responsible for monitoring and accounting for fuel inventories Documents labor & materials expended in the maintenance and repair of boilers and boiler-related systems Performs chemical testing and treatment of boiler water, condensate and hydronic systems Qualifications At least two years' experience in hands-on operation and maintenance of steam boilers A working knowledge of boiler water chemistry testing and treatment methods Personal computer skills to work with Microsoft Office software suite and the ability to quickly gain proficiency in computer-specific software General knowledge of OSHA requirement and the use of personal protective equipment Ability to read, understand and comply with all company policies and procedures Capable of and willing to advance your boiler knowledge and expertise through on-the-job training and self study At least 19 years old and have valid driver’s license; good driving record required Physical Requirements Include: May require the use of respiratory protection and will require compliance with applicable regulations Must be able to visually differentiate colors (required for boiler water testing) Must be able to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions Must be capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds Must possess physical stamina and condition to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment Standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, for extended periods of time are required We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
