The Sorenson Legacy Foundation Center for Clinical Excellence (SCCE) seeks candidates for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position.  The BCBA Clinician II will be hired to work in the Behavior Support Services (BSS) Clinic. Applicants with a focus in these areas are encouraged to apply:

Located on the main campus in Logan, Utah.  This is a 1.0 FTE, 12-month fiscal year position.  Review of applications is ongoing and will continue until the position is filled.

Responsibilities Identifying appropriate patients for BSS waitlist and/or providing appropriate referralsOverseeing BSS-specific/DHHS training and compliance requirements for all staff, students, and facultyCompleting or assisting with insurance prior authorization (PA)/request/renewal documentationProviding supervision of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT)® to meet certification requirementsReviewing progress notes for accuracy/completion/feedbackAssisting in administrative clinical operations (e.g., ordering needed materials/supplies)Reviewing BSS-specific consent forms with new caregivers/patients (as needed)Scheduling and/or communicating with insurance companies regarding denied PAs/scheduling peer-to-peers (as needed)Supporting continuity of care for patients who require severe behavior services that may require billing of T codesParticipating in SCCE administrative meetings (e.g., compliance, directors meeting, BSS clinical meetings, interprofessional education seminar, etc.)Providing administrative assistance to billing, onboarding, Client Care Representatives, etc. (answering questions, fixing issues, training, etc.)Participating in weekly meetings with Doctoral student BCBA®s to go over casesCarrying a caseload to support 20 billable hours per weekAssisting other BSS BCBA®s in meeting case responsibilities (as needed) Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

A master’s degree in applied behavior analysis or a closely related fieldCurrent BCBA® certificationCurrent Utah licensure (or ability to secure licensure by hire date) as a Licensed Behavior AnalystEffective oral, written, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a diverse and inclusive team settingDemonstrated expertise in supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilitiesComprehensive understanding of ASD-specific and behavioral health medical terminology including familiarity with ABA billing codes as outlined by the ABA Coding Coalition

Preferred Qualifications:

A doctoral degree in ABA or related field Experience in assessment and intervention for reducing challenging behaviorExperience providing early intervention to children with ASD Required Documents

The Sorenson Legacy Foundation Center for Clinical Excellence (SCCE; https://cehs.usu.edu/scce/) provides comprehensive clinical services and applied training across the lifespan, integrating across several programs and departments. Services are provided by teams of dedicated trainees and professionals who also engage in cutting-edge research related to clinical practices and interventions.  Services provided in the SCCE include: Hearing and Balance, Speech-Language, Behavioral Health (including Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy), and applied behavior analysis services. The Behavior Health clinic includes an Integrated Assessment team that conducts comprehensive interdisciplinary evaluations for youth and adults with suspected developmental / behavioral concerns.
