BSc/ BEng / BTech in Mechanical Engineering) Professional Registration with ECSA Bulk Materials Handling Certificate Minimum of 10 years of Mechanical Engineering experience Minimum of 5 years of EPC/EPCM experience Sound knowledge and understanding of Bulk Materials Handling Systems

 

Responsibilities

Define fit-for-purpose and cost-effective solutions for various equipment such as conveyors, screens, crushers, and mining infrastructure supporting equipment Review and produce flow sheets for mechanical flow diagrams, verifying the correctness of depicting equipment, mechanical handling, and packaged units, operating and design specifications Compile mechanical datasheets and requisition mechanical handling and packaged units Prepare requisition index for mechanical handling and packaged units, indicating the planned issue date for each requisition Review document requirements and issue dates for major equipment with suppliers and assist Procurement Department in compiling a Supplier’s Document Index Review vendor documentation and prepare technical bid analysis and evaluation reports for  mechanical handling and packaged units Responsible to ensure that all relevant engineering disciplines review and have provided comments on supplier documents. Coordinate reviews of all other engineering aspects of packaged unit supplier‘s drawings Perform inspections and witness factory acceptance testing where required Monitoring assigned packages for technical compliance, contractual compliance, and QA/QC compliance Provide process support to the other engineering disciplines and construction staff Prepare operating manuals and provide plant support during and after commissioning and start-up Must be able to lead multi-disciplinary projects Co-ordinate, guide, and support jnr engineers and draught persons as part of daily duties. Must be able to interact with industry to source clients, contractors, and suppliers  Travel to client facilities for gathering of field data and project review meetings Travel to client facilities and provide on-site technical assistance
