Job Description

The Sales Development Program (SDP) within our Biosciences Division (BID) is crafted to accelerate the careers of high potential individuals with laboratory, sales and customer facing experience, preparing them for immediate territory management within the organization.  

  

A Day in the Life:   

Learn the Biosciences product portfolio, build sales skills, develop business sense, and successfully complete the training program. Upon program completion you will be prepared to compete for a territory commercial role within the Biosciences commercial organization.

What to expect:   

Commercial and product training with real-world experiences  

Job shadow with salespeople and subject matter authorities  

Partner with dedicated leaders and mentors  

Networking and exposure to commercial leaders  

Virtual sales, communication, systems training  

Establish relationships with your assigned group mentors  

Attend web-based trainings  

Field shadowing with Sales Representatives  

Attend Professional Selling Skills training  

Candidates can expect to be part of a cohort.  

 

Keys to Success:   

 

Education   

Bachelor’s in Life Sciences required, Master's or beyond is preferred  

  

Experience   

3+ years of work experience in a research laboratory and/or sales or internship-related experience, and/or advanced degree with 1 year of applicable experience 

Experience in customer facing role or working in a team dynamic  

Shown ability to strategize and achieve results  

​Knowledge, Skills, Abilities    

Willingness and ability to relocate to any major US hub upon completion of the program is required  

Relevant scientific background (ex. understanding of cell biology, protein biology, molecular biology)  

Computer proficiency (ex. MS Office)  

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $31.00–$33.00.
