Overview The Biomed Engineer Specialist maintains medical equipment through the effective use of the department Medical Equipment Management Plan. Provides technical expertise and guidance in tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, inspection, operator assistance and training of medical equipment/systems. Records activities associated with medical devices and sampling review of all work to ensure data compliance. Acts as a liaison for the department in review of new technologies and its use within the environment of care. Reviews current and future inventory impact related to medical device and patient information security. EOE Licensure International Certification Commission for Clinical Engineers Preferred Education Associate's Degree Biomedical Engineering Or Certificate Military Equivalent Required - Or Bachelor's Degree Biomedical Engineering Preferred Experience 3 Years Biomedical Engineering Required - And 240 Hours Biomedical Engineering In Training Required
