Description

Responsible for improving the performance, diagnosing failure modes, and verifying the robustness of the instrumentsDesign and execute experimentsDevelop and optimize test scriptsRecommend improvements for related processesProactively troubleshoot and debug fluidic, mechanical and control system problemsAssist development & manufacturing to determine root causes for product & system failuresSupport the development, execution and review of integration and verification testing for consumable & instrument systems in support of development,verification/validation, manufacturing transfer and commercialization

Additional Skills & Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or other Science discipline and 4-6 years’ directly related experience.Experience with standard laboratory techniques, aseptic technique and experience working in a BSL-2 environment with live organismsExcellent organizational and documentation skillsExtensive experience with nucleic acid techniques (DNA quantification, qPCR,PCR multiplex)Solid phase DNA extraction and purification using magnetic particlesData interpretation and analysis experience plus the ability to effectively present data to a teamAssay automation, microfluidic medical device developmentKnowledge of complex life science systems and assays, including fluidic and microfluidic consumable devicesExperience working with human blood

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $55.00/hr.
