Biomed Electronics Supr Hlth Apply Now **Job Summary** + This position reports directly to a Clinical Engineering (CE) Manager within the Clinical Engineering Department. + Represents Clinical Engineering in a positive manner to the Health System, customers, vendors, as well as patientsand families. Work at Michigan Medicine and become a victor for the greater good. **What Benefits can you Look Forward to?** + Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day + 2:1 Match on retirement savings. **Responsibilities*** + Establishing schedules and work priorities. + Providing daily supervision and support to all assigned team members. + Make adjustments as needed to accommodate changing workloads. + Ensures that staff maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation as outlined by current CE policy and procedures. + Regularly monitors preventative maintenance (PM) performance and ensures PM completion requirements are met. + Participates in the evaluation of new equipment and assists the manager with major projects. + Provides coverage and support, as needed, for other supervisors during their absence. + Provides coverage for the Manager during their absence. + Review Patient Safety Reports, assign work orders, present to the SMDA committee. + Work with the office of patient safety, legal, FDA, and Mfg. on equipment / patient safety issues. + Approve vacations and payroll. + Performs other duties as required. **Required Qualifications*** + Associate's degree in biomedical engineering technology, or equivalent Military training. + Hands-on repair experience on various biomedical and or imaging equipment in a healthcare setting. **Desired Qualifications*** + Bachelor's Degree and or equivalent training or certifications. + Eight years of experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment. + Prior experience as a lead technician or in a supervisory roll preferred. **Work Schedule** Primary job site is the main campus of Michigan Medicine. Anticipated hours are 7:00 am ? 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. **Modes of Work** Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
