Biochemist (M/F) - Post doc contract

**The Position**
In the frame of a post doc contract in partnership with GIE AIFOR, we are looking for an experimented biochemist (PhD obtained since less than 3 years) with theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of protein purification and characterization to join our New Biological Entities Research department located in Saint-Priest, France. You will contribute to the establishment of an innovative Virus-Like-Particles (VLP) platform.
This position is a 18-month mission, and could be extended by 6 months
**Tasks & responsibilities**
In your new role, you will:
- Design and execute the experiments to characterize VLPs with HPLC related analytical tools (SEC, RP, IEX, A4F)
- Analyze the data and optimize analytical conditions
- Use orthogonal methods for method validation by using several analytical tools such as FT-IR, nano DSF
- Run and maintain equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results
- Collaborate with internal and external analytical, process and formulation R&D experts
**Requirements**
- PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, protein biochemistry or related disciplines, obtained since less than 3 years
- Experience in the field of protein purification with HPLC
- Hands-on expertise in large protein characterization by HPLC methods
- Experience with protein characterization techniques including SDS-PAGE, Western-blot. Nano DSF and FTIR will be a plus
- Organizational and analytical skills
- Open, proactive, and problem-solving mindset
- Team player with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English, French is a plus
