We are seeking a skilled BIM Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing work in accordance with approved office processes, formats, and standards, performing engineering analyses and calculations, and preparing required documents in CAD or BIM. The role involves managing projects, coordinating with contractors, architects, engineers, and participating in project meetings. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in the development of in-house processes, checklists, and standards.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare all work in accordance with approved office processes, formats, and standards.
+ Work on assigned tasks under the direction of engineering staff, performing engineering analyses and calculations.
+ Prepare required documents in CAD or BIM under the direction of engineering staff.
+ Develop presentations using Revit or other 3D modeling platforms for sales prospects.
+ Perform tasks accurately and on time with necessary guidance, proactively seeking advice as needed.
+ Manage projects efficiently, communicating and coordinating with contractors, architects, engineers, etc.
+ Participate and lead project meetings.
+ Manage other staff members when assigned as a Task Lead.
+ Meet task deadlines and adhere to budgeted hours.
+ Participate in external and in-house seminars and training activities/sessions.
+ Contribute to the development of in-house processes, checklists, and standards.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ BIM modeling experience on precast projects.
+ Proficiency in CAD and BIM software.
+ Experience in project management and structural design.
+ Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
+ Ability to model projects independently in CAD and BIM.
+ 5+ years of professional work experience.
+ Junior College Associate's Degree, Technical College Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil, Industrial, or Structural Engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with precast, curtain wall, cladding, and steel materials.
+ Ability to manage projects independently and communicate/coordinate with clients.
Work Environment
Our work environment is fast-paced and collaborative. The company operates a large production facility with an office space attached, designing and producing large construction products for industrial, commercial, and residential projects. The office staff consists of in-house Designers, Drafters, Modelers, and Structural Engineers. The team caters to the IL, southern WI, Eastern IN, and sometimes western IA markets. The role will start 100% in-office, with the possibility of 2 remote days once approved by the manager. We offer 3 weeks PTO and 8 holidays. The company follows a fiscal calendar year with reviews and year-end bonuses in September, typically ranging from 10-15% based on company performance.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $90000.00
