Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Billing Specialist in Seattle, Washington. As part of our team, you'll be primarily focusing on the processing, review, and delivery of invoices for intellectual property legal services, while ensuring adherence to both client guidelines and firm policies. Responsibilities • Ensure accurate and efficient processing and delivery of invoices for intellectual property matters. • Perform updates to billing records based on new instructions from clients, attorneys, or paralegals. • Address and resolve invoice rejections or reductions through electronic billing systems in a timely manner. • Collaborate with attorneys, legal support staff, and clients to address any billing inquiries and discrepancies. • Maintain precise records of all billing transactions, adjustments, and communications. • Provide assistance with month-end and year-end billing processes, including reporting and reconciliations. • Review new matter setups to ensure correct billing details. • Communicate with paralegals to obtain client email addresses for invoice delivery and update billing instructions in billing software accordingly. • Research and resolve any billing issues, such as invoices returned due to invalid addresses. The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000. Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision - 100% paid for employee Life insurance STD/LTD 401k with match and profit sharing 20 days PTO 10 paid holidays Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary • Ability to handle Computerized Billing tasks effectively • Familiarity with EHR SYSTEM is desired • Proficiency in using Epic Software is a must • Knowledge of About Time software is beneficial • Capable of executing Accounting Functions accurately • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is needed • Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial • Ability to manage Answering Inbound Calls professionally • Familiarity with Aderant software is beneficial • Experience in Legal Billing is highly preferred.
