JOB TITLE:   Billing Specialist

DEPARTMENT:   Centre Of Excellence

REPORTING TO:   Billing and Warehouse Manager

\n

ADDITIONAL INFO:  

\n\nLocated in Bedfordview, although mobile within the region.\nOvertime might be required, especially during month ends or financial year end.\n\n

PURPOSE OF POSITION

\n

To deliver excellent performance within the billing team:

\n\nEnsure timeous and accurate processing of  customer billing\nMaintain customer credit limits for a portfolio of customers\nSupport the business, resolve open issues, and maintain controls\n\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n

This is a varied role in a fast-moving global organisation. Responsibilities and priorities are likely to evolve, but the following are key to the role:

\n

Data capture and billing

\n\nPreparation of Quotations for customers\nDaily processing of job cards and raising invoices in accordance with customer SLA and pricing agreements\nClearing open job cards/outstanding orders daily and weekly to ensure timely invoicing to customers\nProcessing of SAP invoices\nPrinting and distributing of customer invoices (including submission onto various customer systems)\nConstantly learning individual customer SLAs and pricing schedules to ensure accurate billing\nControl and minimization of credit notes and billing errors\n\n

Collection of accounts receivable within the credit terms

\n\nApplication of credit management policies and trigger matrix escalations\n\n

Customer Contact

\n\nRegularly meeting key customers and build relationships to ensure the invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner\nResolving customer queries in a timely and professional manner\n\n

 Other

\n\nEnsure that filing and record keeping is up to date\nDrive continuous process improvement\nAssist in other billing/warehouse work as requested\n

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

\n

Education/achievements   

\n\nMatric with Maths and Accounting. Post Matric qualification in accountig \n\n

Experience/Knowledge        

\n\nMinimum 3 years’ billing or similar experience\nExperience working in a retail environment\n\n

Specific Skills

\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nDriven, motivated and result orientated\nExcellent organisation and time management\n\n
