The Billing Assistant is responsible for performing various functions such as filing, typing, copying, research, data entry, etc. to assist the billing/financial staff.

Qualifications

High School Student in Good Standing or High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum six (6) months experience in general clerical work preferredKnowledge and hands-on experience with computer spreadsheet and word processing programsMath and data entry skills requiredPasses company drug testing program pre-hire and thereafter on a periodic and/or random basis

Essential Functions

Under direct supervision, and in accordance with Company policies, procedures and guidelines, this position:

Performs a variety of office functions, such as filing, typing, copying, data entry, research, etc., to support various billing and financial operationsMaintains various Billing files in proper orderAssists the A/R staff with re-filing of Explanation of Benefit (EOB) forms in a timely mannerAdheres to confidentiality, safety, compliance, and legal requirementsMaintains consistent and reliable attendance and complies with company guidelines on attendancePerforms other duties as assigned
