We are seeking an experienced Billing Analyst to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience focused on operational billing and possess a strong understanding of various billing models, including subscription-based revenue, transactional revenue, time & materials (T&M) revenue, and tiered revenue. This individual should be skilled in processing multiple invoice types, automating billing processes where possible, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is essential.
What You'll Do:
Prepare and process invoices to ensure accurate and timely billing. Review and analyze customer accounts to ensure transactions are billed accurately and timely. Work closely with the billing team to execute billing-related tasks, including reviewing and reconciling billing data, verifying contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, customer service, and finance to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies. Ensure that billing systems and processes are optimized and efficient, identifying opportunities for process automation and streamlining workflows. Assist in the preparation of monthly/mid-monthly, quarterly, and annual billing reports and provide analysis to help drive decisions. Manage adjustments, credits, and rebills as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and accurate financial reporting. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing policies, practices, and relevant tax regulations. Perform special billing projects and analysis as needed to support the accounting and GTM teams. Field various inquiries within the Billing team inbox from internal stakeholders.What You'll Bring:
4-5 years of experience in billing or a similar operational finance role, with a focus on operational billing. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to reconcile discrepancies and identify trends. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills. Experience automating or improving billing processes to increase efficiency and accuracy is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with both internal teams and customers. Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Requires proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.The expected base salary range for this position is $68,000 - $85,000 annually.
