JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
This position is responsible for conducting complex data analysis, identifying/ implementing solutions, and providing recommendations to various cross-functional groups on technology projects, operational procedures/policies and customer related issues that impact the corporation. Participate in system and/or process improvement initiatives, as well as plan, conduct and provide oversight of analysis for the functional area. Individuals will touch a wide variety of data associated with the timeliness and accuracy of customer billing, billing delivery, payment processing and credit & collections functions. A person in this role may be required to stand in for their manager and/or supervisor.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct complex business and data analysis for potential business expansion that support variety of projects and develop policy and procedure recommendations to management based on findings.
Define protocols and requirements for data quality assurance and ensure that all analysis, trends and project work adheres to corporate requirements and SOX controls/compliancy.
Implement and identify business solutions/opportunities and influence stakeholders using industry and departmental expertise to support best practices. Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to improve the end-user experience
Interact with department management and leadership throughout the organization to identify issues that warrant future projects
Analyze complex operational data and information and provide reports, forecasting/trend analysis and recommendations to appropriate work groups
Implement and identify areas of opportunity to improve reports, analytical tools, and self-service capabilities in collaboration with other departments to drive efficiency and support operational decision-making
Mentor junior analysts on various tasks, such as time and/or project management, data analyses, identifying process improvements and other related areas. Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted
Lead cross-functional teams (IT/Regulatory/Billing/Tax, etc) as needed to improve processes that support a long-term resolution, including but not limited to researching, reviewing, and analyzing effectiveness and efficiency of requirements by developing strategies to elevate processes
Stay abreast of regulatory or political changes that may impact Entergy policy decision making
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education and experience required of the position
Analyst III : 4-6+ years of related business experience
Analyst Sr : 6-8+ years of related business experience
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
High degree of proficiency of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills with experience in leading multiple levels of projects and/or assignments
Strong verbal and written communication skills (must be able to communicate with all levels)
Exceptional presentations and reporting skills (suitable for use with executives, regulators, and key constituents outside of the Company)
Must be adept to learning Entergy's customer service/accounting systems including, but not limited to CCS, AMI or other system applications
Strong adaptability and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making
Any certificates, licenses, etc., required for the position
