Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description

We are seeking a proficient Shipping and Receiving Specialist with strong verbal and written English skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, checking, and organizing incoming merchandise, as well as pulling and packing orders accurately. This role requires proficiency with warehouse equipment and adherence to health and safety policies.

ResponsibilitiesReceive and check incoming merchandise.Pull merchandise for orders using pick tickets, ensuring accuracy in description, quantity, and size.Pack orders and shrink wrap contents onto pallets.Re-stock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment.Load and unload trucks, including pulling physical merchandise such as cases, boxes, units, and pallets.Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards.Perform other general warehouse duties as needed.Operate sit-down forklifts and electric pallet jacks proficiently.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years of warehouse experience.Proven experience as an order picker or in another warehouse position.Experience or license in handling sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.Ability to read and write in English.Great attention to detail.Diligent and punctual.Good physical strength and stamina.Organized, takes initiative, driven, works independently, self-motivated, and pays attention to detail.Proficient in basic math counting.Additional Skills & QualificationsComputer literacy.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our Client handles a wide range of products, including personal care products, domestic and foreign confectionery, snacks, and beverages. We work directly with manufacturers to offer competitive prices. Our Client distributes to the cruise line and hospitality industries. The work schedule is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
