Overview As Senior Account Manager and PR Lead at Publicis Groupe Canada, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the organization’s public profile and communication strategy. Your work will involve collaborating with Groupe agency leaders to develop innovative ideas and compelling content that boosts brand visibility and meets business objectives. You will work with various stakeholders across Publicis Groupe, including HR, DE&I, media, and creative to promote every aspect of the Groupe and its brands in both French and English. You will be responsible for crafting integrated content and communications strategies with clear objectives and targets. Your role will include designing impactful media relations strategies and campaigns, showcasing thought leadership through comprehensive media strategies, and contributing insightful content to industry conversations. This engagement with diverse topics helps the organization resonate with various audiences, solidifying its position as a thought leader. Please note this is a contract role. Responsibilities Thought Leadership Collaborate with agency leaders and work with teams across HR, DE&I, media, creativity, and learning and development to define and execute thought leadership and promotion strategies across panels, seminars, trade, and business media, focusing on diverse topics such as HR, CSR, DE&I, media, data and creativity to promote the Groupe and its brands’ activities in French and English Canada. Challenge leaders to engage with trending topics and issues in industry and corporate/social Canada. Develop and oversee the implementation of the annual PR plan, ensuring it meets KPIs for targeted audiences and is executed in both French and English. Seek out and evaluate proactive and reactive PR opportunities. Work with the Publicis global communication team to align and adapt global information to the Canadian context. Press Relations Support campaigns, new wins, or announcements from Publicis Groupe and its brands. Draft and edit media materials such as editorials, press releases, and briefing books. Act as a project manager, fully developing and conducting 360 campaigns including media and influencer outreach. Conduct written and verbal outreach with media contacts across trade, business, and lifestyle sectors. Complete monthly PR updates for sharing with the Canadian Leadership team. Crisis Management In collaboration with leaders, provide crisis mitigation and issues advice; contribute to the development of the organization’s crisis plan. Assist with media training for the Groupe and brands’ spokespeople, preparing them for interactions with the press. Accompany senior management to media interviews, providing briefings and support, if required. Social Media Manage Publicis Groupe Canada’s LinkedIn and Instagram accounts, ensuring alignment with overall PR and communications strategy. Oversee integrated communications, including social/digital and online community engagement. Demonstrate creative and strategic thinking capabilities to support and innovate social media campaigns in both French and English. Qualifications Post-graduate diploma in Public Relations, Corporate Communications or related discipline 7-9 years’ experience in an agency environment with a focus on media relations and communications Strong media relationships Fully bilingual in both English and French (a must); other languages considered a strong asset Corporate communications experience is an asset Excellent cross-functional leadership, presentation and communication skills Shows strong initiative as an entrepreneurial thinker, taking independent actions Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills and is detail-oriented Strong proficiency in social platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Meta, X, TikTok, etc. is an asset, with an understanding of effective measurement frameworks for social programs Additional information Publicis Canada is committed to building a diverse workforce representative of our community.
