Bilingual Activity Coordinator

 The Bilingual Activity Coordination Assistant ensures the day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center meets participant needs. The Activity Coordination Assistant performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.

The Activity Coordination Assistant schedules the Wellness Center meeting rooms and fitness rooms for pre-programmed classes, activities and/or events. Plans, promotes and coordinates programs to provide members with a variety fitness activities. Responsible for greeting patients, verifying insurance coverage and eligibility, reviewing new patient registration, and entering new patient information into the computer system at an outpatient care site. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year in a previous administrative roleA valid driver license and dependable transportation necessaryExperience in a patient facing role involving structured and planned activitiesAbility to work independently under general instructions and with a teamStrong attention to detailComputer skills -including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent time management, and organizational skillsAbility to communicate effectively/professionally with individuals at all levels of the organizationMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in SpanishDegree in a Health related fieldPrevious work with vulnerable adults or the geriatric populationExperience in Community health outreach programsNutrition knowledgeExperience performing wellness and recreational activitiesHealth Plan experience, including Medicare/MedicaidElectronic Medical Record knowledge/experience

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
