BI and Data Director
BI and Data Director Job Description: The Business Intelligence and Data Director is responsible for leading the development and implementation of data-driven strategies that enhance decision-making across Sage North America. This role involves overseeing data management, analytics, and reporting initiatives to support business objectives. This role will leverage data across multiple platforms to drive insights for our Sales, Marketing, Product and Executive teams. This role will be responsible for providing insight and analytics to make better decisions and support dynamic stakeholders whose needs can change/adapt over time. A successful candidate will be passionate about organizing, analyzing and interpreting data in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, and be able to communicate implications with business and technical stakeholders at all levels. Behind what the users see, build the architecture and technical infrastructure to support business critical reporting, data processes, and analytics. This is a hybrid role โ€“ three days per week from the Atlanta (Ponce City) office. Key Responsibilities: ๐Š๐ž๐ฒ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ: ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ข๐œ ๐‹๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ: Develop and execute the business intelligence strategy aligned with organizational goals. โ€ขโ€ƒCollaborate with senior management to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for success. โ€ขโ€ƒData Management: โ€ขโ€ƒMaintain data integrity of a single source of truth in data analytic environment. โ€ขโ€ƒEstablish BI architecture and BI stack to support Sage North America reporting needs across multiple data sources โ€ขโ€ƒEnsure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations. ๐“๐ž๐š๐ฆ ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐š๐ ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ: โ€ขโ€ƒLead and mentor a team of data analysts and business intelligence professionals. โ€ขโ€ƒFoster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team. ๐‘๐ž๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ง๐ ๐€๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ: โ€ขโ€ƒOwn requirements for business intelligence and reporting needs for various organizations. โ€ขโ€ƒDirect the creation of dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable insights. โ€ขโ€ƒAnalyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. ๐‚๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐›๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: โ€ขโ€ƒWork closely with IT and other departments to integrate business intelligence tools and systems. โ€ขโ€ƒFacilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure data-driven decision-making. ๐๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ: ๐„๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: โ€ขโ€ƒBachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Masterโ€™s degree is preferred. ๐„๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž: โ€ขโ€ƒMinimum of 5-7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. โ€ขโ€ƒProven experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy) and data management systems (Oracle DB and/or Snowflake). โ€ขโ€ƒExperience working with Salesforce would be an asset ๐’๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฌ: โ€ขโ€ƒStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. โ€ขโ€ƒExcellent communication and interpersonal skills. โ€ขโ€ƒAbility to translate complex data into clear insights for stakeholders. ๐Š๐ž๐ฒ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ž๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ: โ€ขโ€ƒLeadership and team management โ€ขโ€ƒStrategic thinking and planning โ€ขโ€ƒTechnical proficiency in data analysis and visualization โ€ขโ€ƒProject management and organizational skills This role is crucial for driving data-centric initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic growth.
