Key Job Functions
Take beverage order and relays it to Bartender.Collect order from Bartender, adds appropriate garnish, places on tray, and serves to patrons with cocktail napkins.Compute bill and accepts payment.Take orders for and serves light meals and hors d'oeuvres.Request identification from customers when legal age is questioned.Remove empty or dirty glasses and bottles and returns them to the bar or kitchen.Maintain cleanliness of assigned station and work areaComply with service standards according to the Royal Sonesta Hotel Beverage Manual.Build solid relationship with your Colleagues Treat colleagues with respect and dignityOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned. A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency.
Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience.Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates.Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.Louisiana Responsible Vendors Certification.Prior experience with MICROS a plus.High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands
