Benefits Specialist

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Processing enrollments, Cobra, terminations, changes beneficiaries.
2. Overseeing the benefit enrollment process
3. Resolving employee issues with benefits administrators and insurance providers
4. Assisting the employees in enrolling in dental, vision, and medical insurance plans
5. Assisting the employees in enrolling in retirement savings plan
6. Provide new hires with explanations of benefits and instructing them on enrollment and fulfillment procedures
7. Consulting with employees about eligibility and other pertinent issues
8. Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files and updating of employee payroll records.
9. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits package
10. Implement and maintain group benefits database.
11. Reviewing monthly benefit payroll deductions
12. Acting as point of contact the insurance providers and the organization
13. Assisting HR and payroll departments as and when required
14. Ensuring that the firm’s benefits policy is compliant with the set law and regulations

Excellent organizational and time management skills Above average oral and written skills A Team Player as well as working independently Sharp eye for detail
