Benefits Analyst II

A Typical Day The Benefits Analyst oversees and manages the day-to-day administration of Pennymac’s employee benefits programs. This position will also provide analytical and reporting expertise in Pennymac’s Human Resources department, specifically regarding employee benefits and employee relations programs. The Benefits Analyst will: Manage all outside benefit vendor relationships – 401k, Health and Welfare carriers, FSA and H.S.A. administrators Analyze participation and utilization for all benefits on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Use data to monitor trends and recommend educational initiatives, plan changes, vendor changes, etc. Maintains knowledge of and analyzes government regulations, benefit program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations. Ensures compliance of benefits administration with federal and state laws including IRS and Department of Labor regulations Manage Pennymac Corporate Wellness Initiative Determine eligibility in relation to short-term and long-term disability Manage and track insurance payments for employees on LOA Manage broker benefits help desk relationship to ensure highest levels of quality service in responding to employee and manager questions regarding benefits, e.g., coverage, premiums, claims processing, etc. Work closely with broker to coordinate all benefits processes, renewals, and open enrollment Create and manage reporting on all benefits plans Manage outside audits and conduct internal audits of all benefit plans as required Reconcile and process for payment monthly premium invoices Perform other related duties as required and assigned Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values What You’ll Bring Demonstrated knowledge of ERISA requriements, ACA requirements, including IRS and DoL regulations Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management Must be highly proficient in Excel (perform v-lookups and pivot tables) and Word Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management Why You Should Join As one of the top mortgage lenders in the country, Pennymac has helped over 4 million lifetime homeowners achieve and sustain their aspirations of home.
