WHAT YOU'LL DO
Responsible for the administration, evaluation, reporting, and compliance of retirement, health, and welfare employee benefit programs to identify and recommend improvements related to cost, administration, communication, employee engagement and compliance, while ensuring competitiveness. Primary responsibilities include providing exemplary customer service, vendor management, research, analysis, reporting and compliance. Additional responsibilities include data integrity maintenance, implementing agreed upon projects, and providing guidance to the Benefits team and leadership related to complex issues.Vendor Management and Internal Business Partner InteractionServes as Subject Matter Expert and point of contact for vendors, consultants, internal business partners (i.e. HR, ER, Legal, Finance, IS, Operations, Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, and Accounting) and leadership.Manages vendor relationships and program performance:Works with leadership and consultants in vendor selection process, including RFP, implementation, performance and contracting.Monitors vendor and provides feedback and recommendations as needed to ensure compliance, resolve issues, and improve performance.Leads ongoing meetings/calls, as well as annual review and strategic planning/design meetings with leadership and vendors.Benefit Program Reporting and AnalysisProduces and manages reporting metrics to track program statistics, detect trends and identify opportunities to improve cost, program design, compliance or administrative processes.Performs periodic benchmarking studies and researches industry trends to ensure benefit program is competitive with industry peers.Shares findings of reporting and benchmarking with leadership and provides recommendations to assist with strategic planning.Conducts complex data analysis on benefits, demographic, and Human Resources data to recommend and assist with plan design changes, issues, and modifications.Audits and reconciles payroll deduction and input data,ComplianceMonitors, interprets and evaluates impact of evolving and new benefits legislation.Maintains current knowledge base of applicable rules, regulations, and legislation.Works with internal and external legal advisors to suggest actions that will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant administration, reporting, and communication of benefit programs and mitigate risks.Employee Consultation, Program Design and CommunicationWorks with communications specialist and vendor to create, distribute and maintain accurate, comprehensive and user-friendly program communications.Assists with approving letters of correspondence and other communications prior to distribution.Serves as the Subject Matter Expert and supports employee understanding and utilization of assigned benefit programs.Educates and provide recommendations employees, managers, internal business partners, and vendors on program policies, procedures, administrative processes and systems.Assists in researching and resolving complex benefit program-related issues.Responds timely to employee inquiries via email and HR service center cases.Transactional Input/System AdministrationMaintains benefit databases and information systems and conducts audits to ensure data integrity.Identifies and recommends modification or changes in administrative or data integration and maintenance procedures.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources or related field required.Two to three years of Human Resource, benefits, or finance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) preferred.Professional in Human Resources (PHR) preferred.Workday Basics Series course completion preferred.Workday in Action Series course completion preferred.Ability to communicate and make recommendations to upper management.Ability to deal with confidential information.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.Demonstrated problem solving, time management and priority setting skills.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong analytical and decision making skills.Experience in Microsoft Office Suite or similar softwareExcellent organizational and prioritizing skills.Good interpersonal skills.Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting practices and principles.Knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, FMLA and employment laws.Knowledge of company benefit plans/programs and company policy.Knowledge of Benefit theories, practices, and procedures.Experience with Workday preferred
