Activities Manage Retirement Programs: Oversee Defined Benefit Pension, Cash Balance, and 401(k) plans, ensuring compliance with all regulations and timely processing of funding, valuations, audits, mailings, regulatory filings, invoices, and payments.Program Analysis: Continuously analyze retirement programs to identify and implement improvements. Research and recommend updates to keep our plans competitive and efficient.Communication Campaigns: Lead and execute communication initiatives to educate employees about retirement plans, regulatory requirements, tax implications, and administrative details. Collaborate with offsite locations and support HRBPs with employee inquiries.Compliance Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert on ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other relevant laws. Work closely with ERISA counsel to develop and maintain compliance programs.Reporting and Analysis: Identify trends, compile data, and prepare comprehensive operational and financial reports on our retirement plans.Committee Support: Assist the Retirement Benefit Committees in fulfilling their fiduciary responsibilities.Issue Resolution: Promptly research and resolve participant inquiries and issues, ensuring a high level of service.Benefits Evaluation: Support the Benefits Manager in evaluating current benefits, industry trends, and legislative requirements. Present recommendations for enhancements.Project Support: Contribute to various projects, including annual enrollment, employee communications, and vendor evaluations. Provide cross-functional support to other HR Analysts and departments as needed. Candidate ProfileWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Benefits Advisor.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a numerate or business-related discipline. CEBS certification is an added advantage.Minimum of 8 years of in-depth experience in 401(k) and Defined Benefit retirement plan administration.Required Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to condense complex financial information and explain it clearly and concisely.Proficiency in project management, data analysis and reporting, with a keen ability to recognize opportunities for process workflow improvement.High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.Strong client service orientation, dedicated to providing exceptional support and resolving issues effectively.High sense of teamwork and collaboration, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external vendors.
