Job Summary: Responsible for the administration and communication of Xanterra South Rim’s benefit plans and for processing and maintaining the absence management program. Additionally coordinates company drug testing program. The Details: Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round Pay: $21.20+ per hour depending on experience Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Housing: Eligible for a Private Studio or Private Room in a Shared Apartment for $267 per month and $267 housing deposit. Responsibilities Assist managers and employees with information regarding eligibility for leave of absences (LOAs) including FMLA, ADA, as well as short and long-term disability claims. Process all approved paid time off, LOA, FMLA, ADA requests as submitted in accordance with state, federal, and company policies. Compute payment due for insurance premiums for employees who are terminating, transferring and on leave. Follow up on past due insurance payments and communicate with local payroll and accounting offices. Provide accurate and consistent answers to policy questions and elevate concerns to Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Assistant Director as needed. Maintains knowledge and ability to communicate the full selection of various benefit plan offerings. Communicate with the corporate benefits offices on issues such as audits, enrollments, eligibility, and coverage changes. Manage the annual open enrollment process. This includes communication, distribution of materials to eligible employees, conducting meetings regarding plan changes, and helping employees with enrollment. Schedule, coordinate special health/benefit events such as the Community Health Fair. Other duties as assigned. Coordinate and administer Xanterra South Rim’s pre-employment, random, and reasonable suspicion drug testing processes and compliance with all Federal, State DOT, and NPS guidelines. This includes the random DOT testing process. Ensure all testing, notifications, and results are organized in confidential files. Responsible for maintaining inventory for all testing supplies and collection forms. Maintain security and cleanliness of testing/collection area and office Assist with new employee onboarding as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of two years of progressive comprehensive benefits administration experience including health plans, FMLA, and benefits policy administration. Proficiency in HRIS and Benefits application strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations and compliance with benefit programs including but not limited to ACA, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA and DOL requirements. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems Possess a strong ability to exercise good judgment, and the ability to multi-task projects concurrently and meet deadlines. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external partners, including managers, payroll, corporate benefits staff and benefit vendors. Ability to provide the ability to provide the highest level of benefit administration with empathy and compassion. Demonstrated ability to maintain a very high level of confidentiality. Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license in the state of Arizona within 30 days of employment. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
