Primary Responsibilities
Manages key pharmacy vendor relationships and day-to-day operational activities including contracting, service delivery and performance management. Proven track record of success with managing large pharmacy contracts.
Participates in annual renewal activities and negotiations for self-funded and fully insured vendors to ensure market-competitive financial terms and services.
Regularly reviews health care program utilization and claims experience to monitor plan financial performance and identify emerging cost drivers and trends.
Provides plan design recommendations to leadership based on understanding of plan performance and market benchmarks/best practices.
Includes comprehensive analysis of plan financial/member impact and business case development.
Supports multi-year forecasting of self-funded and fully insured health care program costs in alignment with the Long Range Planning process.
Supports annual budget and contribution setting analysis.
Assists in the development and analysis of vendor Requests for Proposal (RFPs), as needed.
Develops close working relationships with key People Group and business stakeholders to proactively ensures that benefit offerings align with business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience managing direct reports
5+ years administering benefits, with experience in benefits strategy, design, and with digital and visual platforms and communication systems preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, working comfortably with ambiguity and with a high sense of urgency
Resilient and able to respond under pressure
Strong project management skills
Able to work autonomously and provide independent opinions
Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex issues concisely
Excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing with strong track record of meeting challenging deadlines
Strong analytical skills to manage large data volumes, understand and produce trends with commentary
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Workday)
Adheres to the GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles
Meets attendance standard of the business location, to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with subordinates and management
This is a hybrid (3-days/week in office) role and open to all GEICO corporate office locations

Annual Salary
$88,150.00 - $157,850.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
