Benchmark Product Manager

We are looking for a Benchmark Product Manager to join our team and take responsibility for a new private credit benchmarking product.  This is a ground floor opportunity to drive the direction of the benchmarks themselves and their supporting software capabilities, in order to meet the needs of our clients and our business.  

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Work closely with the benchmark production team to develop new benchmarks and refine existing benchmarks. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand needs and develop products to meet those needs. Support the sales team and clients in their use and understanding of these benchmarks. Identify and work with the benchmark production team to implement enhancements and innovations to the benchmarks and supporting software. Monitor and analyze the performance and usage of the benchmarks, and solicit feedback from clients and stakeholders to identify and prioritize product improvements and new features. Communicate and present the value proposition and benefits of the benchmarks to internal and external audiences, such as senior management, clients, media, and industry events. Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the financial markets, especially in the company loans and bonds sector, and the financial benchmark industry.

Essential traits:

At least 5 years of experience in product management, index management, or a similar role in the financial services industry. Strong knowledge and understanding of company loans and bonds as an asset class, and the data and technology involved in their valuation and analysis. Strong knowledge and understanding of financial market benchmarks, their methodologies, calculation, and governance. Experience with private capital markets. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, proactive, and innovative, with a passion for creating and delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs and expectations.

Salary range is $125,000 - $250,000 USD.
