Job Title: Color Guard Coach FY2425_58 Season: Fall and Winter Job Description: The Color Guard instructor coordinates the preparations, exercises, and activities of the school marching band's auxiliary unit, the Color Guard. The instructor prepares and directs the unit for independent performance and competition, as well as for performances integrated within the larger marching band. Color Guard (Fall- August-October) 18 Practices (1.5 hours each) 4 Days of Band Camp (6 hours each day) 4 Football games 1 Fall Festival Parade (approximately 3 hours) 1 Showcase (8 hours) 1 Band Day (8 hours) Choreography and show design - Approximately 15 hours Proposed Stipend: HS Color Guard - Level 7 $2,120 Winter Guard (Winter- December-April, Tryouts are at the end of November) 25-30 practices (2 hours each) 2 basketball games (We are hoping to do 4 this coming year) 1 Assembly 1 Showcase (There is another bigger one we were invited to in Rexburg, ID, we might try to include it this year if possible.) Choreography and show design - 15 - 20 hours Spring 1 Memorial Day Parade (approximately 4 hours) Practices leading up to the parade (I think we had 4-6 last year) Proposed Stipend: HS Winter Guard - Level 7 $2,120
