Rochester, NY, USA | Hourly | 21.84-25.19 per hour | Full Time Summary: Provides psychological services and consultation for individuals with disabilities. Functions as an Interdisciplinary Team (IT) member and assures compliance with all applicable standards. Location: Rochester & Brockport Opportunities Schedule: Monday-Friday with some flexibility Responsibilities: + Assists in providing initial/annual psychological assessments on all assigned individuals within established time frames and format. + Develops goals, objectives and methods in collaboration with relevant members of the team to address psychological needs. + Supervises the affective/emotional data collection system and assumes responsibilities for completing data sheets. + Provides information and consultation to the team, volunteers, and other service providers as requested. May be required to transport and accompany individuals to community providers. + Provides crisis intervention for individuals to prevent injury to themselves and others as prescribed by the Behavior Support Plan. + Provides in service training pertaining to psychological services to agency staff. + Secures Human Rights and Informed Consent/approval for each individual's Behavior Support Plan and/or the use of medications as needed. + Attends Agency and staff meetings, education and training sessions as requested. + Observes and documents individual's performance and behaviors to facilitate assessment and development of service goals. Assists in development and implementation of each individual's personal futures plans in collaboration with other team members. + Observes all policies and procedures including, but not limited to, the handling of incidents, emergencies, operation of agency vehicles. Provides written and/or oral feedback to appropriate supervisory staff regarding individual or facility related concerns + Provide written or oral feedback to appropriate supervisory staff regarding individuals served or family related concerns. + Performs other necessary duties as requested. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, in order to effectively supervise staff and instruct, and assist individuals served, the employee is frequently required to: reach with hands and arms; and talk, see and hear. Must be able to effectively communicate with and observe individuals served, staff, and other individuals involved in the support and care of those we serve. The employee must frequently lift, transfer, and/or move up to 50 pounds. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: -Bachelors' degree in related field and one-year experience. -May be required to meet LAI's Vehicle Operator Requirements.
