Pay:

Base pay now starting at $23.32 / hr for candidates with a Bachelor degree Experience credit applied in addition to base pay$1,560 annual increase for Master degreeOvertime payment at 1.5x your hourly rate

For over 50 years -- The Glenholme School, part of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, has provided a comprehensive residential program and services for children with learning differences and special needs. Located in picturesque Washington, CT the Behavior Specialist position will be part of a cohesive, passionate and dynamic team. The selected candidate will foster Devereux’s mission and values of quality care as well as providing top-notch and individualized therapeutic care for our students.

Position:

We are seeking a Behavior Specialist who has experience with the student population and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with learning differences and mental health/behavioral challenges. If this describes you, then look no further!

Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8am-4pm

Thursday: 11am-7pm

Off Tuesdays

One weekend every 3 weeks, Saturday and Sunday 7am-3pm

 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Manage all aspects of milieu treatment; data collection and record maintenance for student populationAssisting program management and staff with daily activity schedule to ensure it meets all student needsAccurately assess and report student behavioral performanceMaintain behavioral records reflective of student goals, progress, strategies and outcomesParticipate in clinical treatment team meetingsProvide behavioral professional development, training, and coaching for direct care staffWork with families on goals their child is working on and how to implement while at homeCommunicate recommendations for modifications to campus-wide and individualized treatment protocols to colleagues, supervisor and administration for considerationCollaborate with all departments to meet student’s treatment needsComplete Treatment Integrity Audits for Education and Boarding FacultyMaintain high standards of personal, professional and ethical behavior

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, education or related field2 years’ experience working with youth with learning differences and special needsExperience with Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Support Plans

 

Preferred Qualifications:
