Ignite Education Solutions is hiring a Behavior Monitor to work in a behavior intervention classroom one-on-one with students.

What are the duties and responsibilities? 

Classroom Assistance

Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers in order to coordinate behavioral and instructional efforts Help classroom teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports Help with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom Work with individual student(s) or small groups to develop needed skills and conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher Tutor and assist student(s) individually or in small groups in order to help them master content and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers Keep teacher informed of special needs and/or problems of student(s) Maintain confidentiality Help supervise student(s) throughout the school day, inside and outside of the classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, school yards, and gymnasiums, or on field trips

Behavior Management

Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers in order to coordinate behavioral and instructional efforts Help manage behavior of student(s) Assume responsibility for learning and adapting to each student’s special medical, physical, communicative and emotional needs Provide updates on behaviors during formal and informal meetings Track behavior and attendance using DOJO or another approved system Manage progress towards goal completion for PBSP’s
