Jennie Stuart Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate BHU Social Worker to join our Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) on a PRN basis, meaning as needed, at the JSH Medical Center. This role is vital in providing quality psychotherapy and social services to our patients and their families, with a focus on treatment and discharge planning. The BHU Social Worker will be responsible for conducting thorough psychosocial interviews to gather social histories and data, interpreting social situations in relation to the patient's condition, and modifying treatment plans as necessary. The successful candidate will participate in individual and group therapy sessions and Treatment Team meetings, contributing to the holistic care of our clients. As a Discharge Planner, the BHU Social Worker will work closely with the Treatment Team to ensure the provision of appropriate social services and will be the point person for accurately completing all discharge-related documentation. Compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including CMS, Medicare and state licensure requirements, is a critical function of this role. This position is Regular/At-Will, and the candidate will be based at the JSH Medical Center.
