The BDC Finance AVP will be involved in accounting, finance and reporting activities for Blackstone’s BDC investment advisory business.  BXC manages BXSL (a publicly traded BDC) and BCRED (a continuously offered non-traded BDC).

The principal responsibilities for supporting the BDCs include:

Working directly with the third-party administrator to coordinate workflow and reviewing all accounting deliverables to ensure accuracy and conformity with applicable accounting standardsAssisting with preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables to BlackstoneMonitoring compliance with the SEC and IRS regulatory tests applicable to BDCsPreparation and review of 10-Q and 10-K SEC filingsWorking closely with the investment team with requests, including updating BDC financial model, liquidity management, PM reporting and various ad hoc requestsProviding oversight of the valuation process of the investment portfolioLiaising with the Investment and Operation teams to review and enhance internal and investor reportingResponding to ad hoc request from external investors including return calculations and performance summariesWorking with IR to prepare quarterly investor deck/earnings releasePreparing materials for BDC Board of DirectorsAssisting with technology initiativesPerforming research on new accounting pronouncements and their impact to the financial statements

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree6+ years of professional work experiencePublic or public/private accounting mix preferredBDC Product Experience a plus (especially non-traded BDCs)SEC reporting experience preferred Alternative investment fund accounting experience requiredCPA preferredStrong awareness of internal business controlsDetermined, self-motivated and proactiveExcellent interpersonal and communication skills

Expected annual base salary range:

$125,000 - $185,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
