Achieve aggressive growth revenue targets by acquiring new customers and expanding current business. Prospect for new business using the resources and tools available to reach potential new clients. 50% travel within the territory, visiting key customers/prospects and representing at industry events. Work with Inside Sales to create and send email campaigns to your targeted customers. Schedule sales meetings with decision-makers, align sales messages to product offerings, and persuasively close customers. Prepare for sales calls by practicing your messaging. Systematically track your daily KPIs, such as cold calls, emails, and sales appointments, and analyze daily activity to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets. Schedule onsite customer visits and introduce potential and current customers to the chemistry and manufacturing leaders. Collaborate cross-functionally to understand and influence a wide range of stakeholders, generate strong engagement, and create passionate advocates. Complete all duties as required, such as timely submission of reports.
Responsibilities

+ Travel within the territory to visit key customers and prospects, and represent at industry events.
+ Work with Inside Sales to create and send email campaigns to targeted customers.
+ Schedule sales meetings with decision-makers and close customers.
+ Prepare for sales calls by practicing messaging.
+ Track daily KPIs, including cold calls, emails, and sales appointments, and analyze activity to achieve revenue targets.
+ Schedule onsite customer visits and introduce them to chemistry and manufacturing leaders.
+ Analyze territory business trends and forecast future trends and market opportunities.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally to understand and influence stakeholders, and share insights and best practices.
+ Complete all required duties, including timely submission of reports.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of business development/sales experience, starting within research in a lab/manufacturing environment.
+ Experience in CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) services.
+ Scientific degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
+ Strong analytical skills to detail territory business trends and forecast future trends.
+ Experience selling specialty chemical services.
+ Proven track record of driving and achieving results including territory growth objectives and new customer identification.
+ High technical competencies including Microsoft Office Suite and CRMs.
+ Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and work successfully with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 10-15 years of experience may substitute for a degree.
+ Experience managing portfolios and signed NDAs.
+ Consistent track record of achieving sales targets, with a minimum of 1-2 million in sales per year.
+ High growth company experience strongly preferred.
+ Entrepreneurial, proactive spirit; thrives in ambiguity and motivated by building an organization.
+ Curiosity to learn and grit to overcome challenges.
+ Ability to handle a fast-paced and high volume of face-to-face interaction.
+ Competitive, outgoing, and motivated with an entrepreneurial and trailblazing mentality.

Work Environment
This role requires 50% travel within the territory, visiting key customers/prospects and representing at industry events. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
