Participates in community events, health fairs and other projects promoting Winter Haven Hospital and Bartow Regional Hospital. May be required to design and implement curriculums for caregivers and/or children ages 3 to grade 12. Travels within the service area of Polk County and Plant City area using own transportation. Performs other duties as assigned. **Minimum Qualifications:** **CLASSROOM INTRUCTOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** + Bachelor's or Master's – Physical Education or Health Education or in Related Field + Experience working with other professionals, childcare providers, caregivers, and children of all ages in a classroom/presentation setting. **Position:** BayCare Kids Wellness and Safety Instructor: Polk County/Plant City region + This is a full-time hourly position. Scheduled for 40 hours per week, paid for actual hours worked. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts - with 1 Saturday class per month. When working a Saturday- time is flexed off to ensure no more than 40 hours are worked during that week. + The BayCare Kids Wellness & Safety educator provides Physical Activity and Nutrition programs to caregivers and children ages 3 to 12 th gradewithin the Polk County school system, summer camp programs, churches, and other community locations. + CPR/First Aid Certification Training, Child Passenger Safety Technician, Bike Helmet fitting, and Safe Sitter training and continuing education is provided. + **Self-study time for the following curriculums:** Kids Power Nutrition and Physical Activity curriculum (Pre-K through Middle School) and optional Let’s Talk Puberty. + Our team focuses on quality education. An official curriculum check-off process is completed before independently teaching.
