Battleboro Distribution Supervisor - 2nd Shift

**POSITION SUMMARY:** We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Distribution Center Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our distribution center. This role involves supervising a team of warehouse employees, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of inventory, optimizing processes for operational efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in logistics or warehousing, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Supervise and lead a team of warehouse employees to ensure accurate and timely processing of orders, shipments, and returns.
+ Oversee the loading, unloading, and storage of goods, ensuring proper handling and organization.
+ Ensure all operations are compliant with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
+ Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with management to ensure adequate stock levels.
+ Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and assist in the training and development of staff.
+ Optimize workflows and identify areas for process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
+ Ensure accurate documentation of inbound and outbound shipments and maintain up-to-date records of inventory transactions.
+ Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits to minimize accidents and injuries.
+ Communicate effectively with internal departments, such as procurement and customer service, to ensure smooth operations.
+ Address and resolve any operational issues or customer concerns related to distribution activities.
**KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:**
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar tools for reporting and data analysis.
+ Technology Utilization – Implement and manage inventory management systems (ERP, WMS) to automate processes and improve efficiency.
+ Optimizing processes for safety and efficiency.
+ Experience with Lean, 6S, six-sigma, project management.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field is a plus.
+ 3+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution center operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
+ Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures; SAP experience is a plus.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with warehouse management software is a plus.
+ Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
+ Ability to lift and move heavy items, as required.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**
+ General manufacturing, warehouse, and office.
+ PPE- Ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes
