As a Base Building Maintenance Technician II, you will be the primary technician responsible for performing all maintenance & repair tasks to support the operational efficiency of a distribution warehouse. You will utilize electrical and mechanical knowledge to complete troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems while also support the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of the base building systems.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Safety** : Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
+ **Maintenance** : Inspects, maintains, and repairs building systems including, but not limited to HVAC, generators, electrical and plumbing.Ability to troubleshoot and repair breakroom equipment, roofs, drains, windows, doors, gates, bollards, and fencing. May be required to move furniture, paint, hang pictures or items, or complete other small projects around the site.
+ **Monitoring** : Responsible for oversight, follow-through, schedules, and coordination when necessary of external vendors.
+ **Support** : Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order/ticket completion. Review assigned tickets and work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repair. Works with planner to order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. Ability to prioritize work based on severity/impact to site operations.
+ **Communication** : Maintain a positive working relationship across all of the Operations facility.
**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 1+ years of proficiency with HVAC, plumbing systems, fire alarm systems, electrical systems, and industrial tools.
+ 1+ years of experience conducting preventative maintenance.
+ 1 + years of experience reading blueprints and schematics.
+ 1+ years of work order management.
+ Proper use of hand/power/shop tools and electrical troubleshooting/diagnostic equipment, shop math, fasteners, measurements, and parts nomenclature.
+ Vendor management experience.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
+ Certifications in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems.
**Physical Demands:**
+ Must have ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, use an aerial lift, and frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment.
+ Ability to perform tasks wearing appropriate or required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include but is not limited to hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes.
+ Regularly required to crouch or bend and reach to install/move equipment.
+ Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work, averaging 6 to 12 miles per day.
+ Work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures.
+ Regularly required to type on a computer for 1-2 hours per day.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $31.05 - $31.05
