The Barista Coffee Lead will be tasked with being a connector between the Education Department and the Café. They will lead by example, training Team Members on coffee craft/science, as well as how to achieve success in the Café setting. The goal of this individual will be to elevate themselves through continuous knowledge and skill refinement, with the goal of using those knowledge, skills, and abilities to elevate the whole Café Team as it pertains to coffee knowledge and best practices. A successful Coffee Lead will be
bravely accountable in everything they do, fervently curious in their learning, will preserve and improve the coffee quality and knowledge in the café, and will work alongside other Leaders to ensure the Café is better together.

Responsibilities Accountable for keeping workspace clean and organized, according to local state and city health department and FairWave policies and regulations.Being available to show up at work for your scheduled shift on a regular basis.Engaged during the shift to provide the best quality service to our guests.Perform regular quality control checks at your Café, to identify areas of opportunity.Take ownership of the FOH and BOH by ensuring we keep the Café clean and organized by using our daily checklists and adhering to administrative processes. (invoices, WSR, EOD paperwork, ordering, inventory)Manage the coffee and tea inventory by performing weekly counts, updating the inventory excel spreadsheet, rotating the coffees by date, and making informed ordering suggestions to café managers.Lead by example through what you say and do when it comes to going above and beyond for our guests, from running food/drinks when necessary to answering their questions and addressing their concerns.Treat all our guests with respect and kindness, finding ways on a daily basis to elevate the overall guest experience.Perform basic regular maintenance on coffee equipment, such as cleaning clump busters, replacing gaskets, etc.Accountable for running transactions on our point-of-sale system (POS) and will be tasked with providing correct change to guests so that your drawer is in balance.Support Café Managers during roll-out of seasonal drinks in the café by answering questions, providing feedback and ensuring standard operations procedures are being followed.Abilities to help other Departments inside the Café as needed.Accountable for upholding the company policies and procedures as approved by the leadership team.Perform other duties as assigned.
