Position Description
The Bariatric Patient Advocate will provide direct patient support and service as the practice liaison for patients receiving both general and bariatric surgery services. This individual will assist patients with financial/insurance counseling, as well as track their progress regarding surgery orientation and scheduling. The individual will also assist with bariatric seminar planning, scheduling, presenting, and referral tracking throughout the program. The individual will need to follow up with referring physicians, providing updates on the patients referred to the program.
Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
BA/BS preferred; or minimum five years’ experience in Bariatric patient managementKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
