Take the first step towards a rewarding career by applying today. Overview About the role The Barback plays a crucial support role to the bartending staff, ensuring smooth and efficient bar service. They are mainly responsible for assisting bartenders in supplying bars with products needed for daily operations and maintain a clean and organized work area. The Barback will be required to maintain inventory levels at established pars and ensure proper storage and rotation of beverage products. They must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills as they will interact with guests in the bar areas. What you will be doing: Greet guests as they arrive or move around the bar area. Ensure proper setup of the bar daily. Assist bartenders with securing requisitioned liquor, beer, and wine. Maintain cleanliness by ensuring clean glasses are stocked. Master the operation of the bar. Collaborate/assist with restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff. Follow up on all service details for bartenders. Maintain bar area cleanliness, including wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, removing soiled glassware, and emptying trash. Report unsafe conditions immediately. Ensure bar is stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer. Restock linen, glassware, and silverware. Complete opening and closing side work, including restocking garnishes, syrups, straws, napkins, and other necessary items. Assist in maintaining stock and storing fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality. Take orders, prepare drinks, bus tables, open tabs, and process payments. Perform additional duties as assigned, including cross-training and assiting in restaurant operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional experience, education, or certifications preferred Must be of legal age to serve alcohol Friendly, professional demeanor with knowledge of menu items, including beers, wines, cocktails, and liquors Strong communication and problem-solving skills Must meet physical demands, including standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods (includes items up to 90lbs) Availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays
