Job Summary:
Working as a Banquet Sales Manager, you are responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and sales for our Wortham Theater banquet space for events. You will manage and lead a team of associates. You will be responsible for managing client relations, along with ensuring that the food offered to the customers is of superior quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
+ Responsible for negotiating contracts and close of banquet sales
+ Responsible for operation of the banquet event space in accordance with the approved budget while providing the Client with the maximum value for the dollars spent
+ Ensure achieved sales goals and revenue are met per the contract and guidelines
Client Service and Management:
+ Ensures that the food offered to the client, customers, and employees of the operation is of superior quality
+ Implement brand strategies and elevate show quality per our company standards
+ Maintains excellent relationships with employees, guests and Client as well as other departments within the operation
+ Banquet Sales Manager will be responsible for the planning, preparation and execute of each banquet event which includes working often before, during and after all events
Department Collaboration:
+ Responsible for working closely with food and beverage teams, including local partners to ensure high-quality catering service and experience
+ Coordinate with clients, vendors and team to manage logistics and overall food and beverage services
+ Participate in sales, banquet and BEO meetings to ensure planning, preparation is secured for a smooth execution of each banquet services
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Minimum of Associate's Degree preferred
+ Two to four years fine dining restaurant management experience is required
+ Comprehensive food and beverage knowledge. Applicant should be well versed on food and wine pairings
+ Requires operations management experience with purchasing knowledge
+ Excellent communication and computer skills are needed, including knowledge of MS Office products
+ ServSafe and TABC certified required
