Maintains current knowledge of all popular alcoholic beverages and cocktail recipesReviews Event Order to determine function requirementsStocks portable bar with required mixers, alcoholic beverages and related suppliesPrepares all necessary mixers and garnishes prior to start of service and during shift as neededSets up bar service area with all necessary glassware and supplies prior to start of service "Mis en Place"Greets guests in a polite professional manner according to Loews standardsDetermines guests needs and suggestively up-sells beverages so as to enhance the guest experienceRecords all aspects of guest order accurately Prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to order upon requestServes guests in a polite, professional manner according to Loews StandardsMonitors guest to prevent over indulgence and ensure safetyMaintains cleanliness and sanitation of bar service area at all timesPrepares and presents accurate record of guest chargesCollects monies due, performs cashier function when applicableCompletes end of shift revenue report and cash depositInventories all beverages and operating supplies, orders replacement items as neededPerforms all closing duties, secures all inventory and suppliesOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalentOne + years experience as Bartender in a high volume, upscale Hotel or free standing Lounge environmentThorough knowledge of Alcoholic Beverages, Cocktail; recipes, preparation methods, glassware, equipment and service;Certification; "TIPS" or other Responsible Vendor training or ability to obtain sameExceptional guest service skillsAbility to stand, stoop, bend and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively during entire shiftAbility to push, pull or other wise move portable bar units from storage area to function roomsAbility to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
