Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Banker for its New York, New York location. Duties: Operate in the capacity of trusted financial advisor to all types of utilities (electric, gas and water), utility-scale independent power producers and investors in the broader energy infrastructure sector. Conduct financial analysis to help clients in their decision-making process. Assess client needs as driven by their particular circumstances and be prepared to craft the analysis and presentation to deliver ideas or solutions. Develop sophisticated financial analysis model using corporate finance techniques that are appropriate and specific to the client and their sub sector. Present financial information to clients. Develop and maintain client relationships. Oversee client coverage, and monitor deal execution of advisory and financing mandates. Provide oversight and management to drive execution of live deals. Assist Citi’s U.S. clients in achieving their strategic objectives, whether those are to grow via acquisition or to sell whole businesses or specific divisions or to optimize their capital structure. Identify the quantum and various types of debt instruments that are applicable in each instance. Collaborate with internal product partners to identify sources of such debt financing, as well as execute the process of placing the debt. Oversee equity financing by identifying the type of equity that is most applicable in each instance and quantifying it, while engaging with product partners to execute the equity placement to investors. Serve as a subject matter expert for the power, utilities and renewables sector in North America and use this expertise to advise clients such as strategic operators or financial investors. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols. Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Banker, Investment Banking Associate, Associate, Senior Analyst or related position involving investment banking in the power, utilities and renewables sector. 7 years of experience must include: Corporate finance and valuation; Project finance; Capital markets; Mergers & Acquisitions; Capital raising; Sector specific valuation methodologies and key financial performance metrics; Regulation and regulatory bodies managing the sector and sub sectors, and it’s impacts on clients; Complex financial models in Excel; and Repositories of market data (Bloomberg, Factset, Refinitiv).
