Job Description

RRD is looking for an energetic, and highly motivated team member for the Elk Grove Village facility.

Shift:  7PM - 7AM / rotating every 8 weeks

Tend machines that shred and/or compresses and binds paper by-products generated from the print manufacturing process to facilitate disposition of the waste materialsThread tie bands around bale and twists or clamps ends of bands to tighten bandsOpens compression chamber doors and removes bale from machineTruck bales to storage location using air lifts, pallet jacks or hoist trucksComplete daily forklift condition reportWeight the bales and keep records of the gross weight, materials grade of the balesPerform routine maintenance on the baling machinery and remove obstructions in the cyclone as neededMay load bales on trucks, rail cars for disposal and complete shipping manifestMay photograph container and seal for verification purposes

Qualifications2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environmentRequires knowledge of standard set ups, adjustments and operating characteristics of the equipment and skill to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipmentAbility to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment

Pay Disclosure Statement:  The pay rate for this role at the noted location is $18.70 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include  overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
